To help us navigate the opportunities and challenges ahead, we are seeking a number of new governors (6) for our Board of Governors, with staggered starts throughout 2020 and 2021 to fill vacancies that will be left by governors completing their terms. The norm is for our governors to serve two terms of three years (three terms in exceptional circumstances).

The successful candidates will need to have substantial senior experience in one or more areas, and we will need to ensure a good mix of skills on the board. Candidates are potentially from any sector but with an understanding of the opportunities and barriers faced by HE and the creative industries which we deal with. The roles are unremunerated, although reasonable expenses will be paid. We need the following skills:

  • Strategic finance/ audit (accountancy qualification is essential).
  • Senior legal expertise 
  • Strategic marketing
  • Other skills and experience - for example in broadcasting, digital and IT sectors- gained as part of a very senior career, particularly in the creative industries.
